Check the details below explaining what the values mean on the dashboard and how to read them.

Total orders value

If a discounted pricing offer is present in a customer's cart - this is the total value of the order.

Value of items from offers

If a discounted pricing offer is present in a customer's cart - this is the total value of the items from the offer.
Example:
- A customer has 5 different items in their cart.
- Total value of the cart is $100.
- 2 of the items are used in a discounted pricing offer. These are valued at $20.
Then:
- $100 will be attributed towards "Total orders value"
- $20 will be attributed towards "Value of items from offers"

Total orders

This is the amount of orders that contain a discounted pricing offer.

What permissions do I need to grant?

These are the permissions that the app will request when being installed and an explanation of why each permission is needed:

1
Access to Personal Information. This is required to differentiate between unique users on your store and so that the app can generate a unique discount code for each user.
2
Access and modify store data. This is necessary to install and run the app and its files in your theme. Also required to link the app to your products so you can create offers.

Common Questions

Can I use the same app subscription to all of my stores on different sites?
To take advantage of all the features and functions of the app, you need to install the app to each store since each one is charged separately for all the apps installed.

Is the app totally incompatible with Discounted Upsells?
Discounted Pricing can actually work with Discounted Upsells since they have different discount functions. Discounted Pricing is best for individual or bulk purchases while Discounted Upsells is more on adding more items to customers' purchases through upselling and cross-selling. As long as you do not create more than one offer for a specific product, the Discounted Pricing app should work without any issues with the Discounted Upsells app.

Can I create shipping discounts?
No, this is not possible. The app works by giving out discounts based on products only.

Is it possible to use PayPal to purchase items when using the discounted pricing app?
Yes, it is! However, the PayPal button on the cart page should not be used because it will not allow applying the discount due to PayPal's recent update which no longer allows for discounts to be added to the customer's cart page when using Shopify apps. As a workaround, we strongly recommend hiding the PayPal button on the cart page and letting the customer use the PayPal button on the checkout page instead. By doing this, the customer can still go through the discounted transaction with PayPal using our app.

Is the app compatible with Shopify Payment's multiple currencies?
Unfortunately, Shopify Payment's multiple currencies are not yet fully compatible with the app. It is highly advised not to use discount apps if you have enabled multi-currency since there is the risk to give bigger discount values than you expect from creating offers. There is an option, however, to use currency conversion apps instead to avoid this from happening.

Can I set up a discount based on the payment method used?
Unfortunately, this is not possible. Customers may have several payment options depending on how your store was set up but this feature that can manipulate the discounts based on which payment option is used is not yet available in the app.

Does the app work with the PayItLater payment option?
The app will not have problems working with different payment options as long as the process does not skip the cart page. It is crucial for the customer to go through the cart page first before going to the checkout page in order for the discount to apply. This should be considered first and foremost since this is how the discount works using the app.
